CONCORD, N.H. BittWare Research Systems has announced a new DSP board design called Shortfin that leverages Analog Devices' ADSP-21065L DSP chip to bring OEM board pricing down to about $1.25 per Mflops, according to company president Jeffry Milrod. Shortfin is available now in a 3U CompactPCI version and a PC/104-Plus version, with one or two 66-MHz DSP chips, 16 Mbytes of SDRAM, 1 Mbyte of flash, a TDM or I2S bus and four serial ports.
It is priced as low as $500 in OEM quantities.
