LEDGEWOOD, N.J. Bomar Interconnect Products Inc. has introduced the Eliminator, a male F connector that allows set-box tuner modules to be connected directly to a printed-circuit board. The Eliminator is named for its ability to do away with the need for an additional cable to mate the assembly to the board.
The Eliminator is engineered for the integrity and durability requirements of basic set-top boxes providing analog or digital video, as well as the higher-end set-top boxes supporting cable modem and voice over Internet Protocol technologies. The right-angle Eliminator saves printed-circuit board space because it connects directly to the tuner module, and the assembly is then dropped onto the board.
Made of precision-machined brass, the connector features Teflon insulators and a gold-plated contact. Pricing is $1.64 in 1,000-piece quantities. Delivery is stock to four weeks.
