PALO ALTO, CALIF. The SOB-104 computer board from Diamond Systems Corp. offers 10 Base T Ethernet along with comprehensive analog and digital I/O circuitry for embedded applications.
Built around an AMD 486-class processor running at 100 MHz, the board packs up to 32 Mbytes of RAM and provision for DiskOnChip solid-state storage; 256 kbytes of flash memory with Datalight BIOS; two serial, one parallel and an AT keyboard port; and optional battery backup with intelligent power management and signaling. Data acquisition features include 16-bit analog input, 12-bit analog output, 24 digital I/Os, interrupt-based A/D conversions up to 25 kHz and four analog outputs.
Accessories for the SOB-104 include a full-featured system I/O PC/104 module with VGA, LCD, and hard and floppy disks. A development kit contains a breakout board providing standard connectors for all I/O, a test circuit for the data acquisition and associated cables.
