ITHACA, N.Y. Strategic partners Traquair Data Systems, Inc. and Hunt Engineering (UK) Ltd. are fielding a 2.5-MHz analog-to-digital mezzanine module for the Heron multiprocessing DSP systems. The multichannel, 16-bit HEGD12 A/D board conforms with the GDIO module format of the Heron scheme. The board supports eight analog inputs, each with its own A/D converter. Simultaneous sampling is supported across all channels and options are available for extending simultaneous sampling across multiple modules.
"Underwater sonar is typical of the demanding applications targeted by the HEGD12," said Traquair president Stephen Bradshaw. "Multiple channels of analog input data can be sampled at high speed and then processed in real-time with multiple TMS320C6000 DSPs and Virtex FPGA processors. Complete systems can be configured as a single- or multiple-board solution for standalone environments or with PCI-based host computers running DOS, Windows, VxWorks, Solaris or Linux."
The HEGD12 is now shipping in one-, two-, four- and eight-channel configurations. Single-quantity pricing ranges from $1,475 for a one-channel configuration to $2,995 for eight A/D channels.
