Itasca, ILL. The NEC MultiSync LCD2010X from NEC-Mitsubishi Electronics Display of America Inc. is a 20.1-inch flat-panel desktop monitor that's said to offer virtually universal connectivity for compatibility with analog and digital standards.
The monitor has a newly standardized Digital Video Interface (DVI-I) port to accept digital or analog input, and offers a second analog port through a traditional VGA connector, bridging the gap between analog and digital systems.
The monitor weighs 23.1 pounds, has a slim stand, can pivot and possesses a native resolution of 1,280 x 1,024 pixels at 75 Hz. An ultrawide viewing angle of 170 degrees horizontally and vertically, 85 degrees from the center of the monitor, allows multiple users to view the screen and frees individual users from having to remain directly in front of it. The monitor is said to adjust for image distortions and color changes that dog monitors with standard LCD technology.
The unit can be wall- or arm-mounted, since the DVI-I and VGA connectors are incorporated into the monitor itself, as opposed to the stand.
Compatible with PCs and Macs, the monitor exceeds Energy Star and Nutek requirements. Priced at $4,199, the NEC MultiSync LCD2010X is available in both white and black cabinets. It comes with a three-year limited warranty.
