San Jose, Calif. Dual and triple operational amplifiers (op amps) from Micrel Inc. are said to draw 2.4 milliamps per op amp. The dual MIC915 and triple MIC916 share specifications with the MIC910 introduced earlier this year.
Scott Brown, linear and RF business unit manager, said the devices offer a 135-MHz gain-bandwidth product and a 270-volt per microsecond slew rate. Both are unity-gain-stable. Supply voltages are plus/minus 2.5 V and plus/minus 9 V. Typical input offset voltage is 1 millivolt and large signal voltage gain is 73 dB. The power supply rejection ratio is 81 dB and the common mode rejection ratio is 98 dB.
Applications for the op amps include xDSL receivers, portable instruments, medical equipment and video/imaging. The MIC915-BMM is packaged in a miniature small-outline package and is priced at $1.96 in 1,000-piece quantities. The MIC916BQS comes in a QSOP-16 and is priced at $2.98.
