HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. - Behlman Electronics' INV1200 (dc/ac) inverter, rated at 1,200 VA, features a circuit that provides voltage foldback to maintain full rated current into an overload without clipping the ac output. As such, it can deliver full rated output into loads having any power factor.
The unit provides a 120-Vac (rms) sine wave output (60 Hz, plus/minus 1 percent) with a total harmonic distortion of less than 2 percent (typical) from a 48- or 125-Vdc input. Input and output connections are made via rear-mounted barrier strips. The unit provides for input protection via a circuit breaker and includes short-circuit, overload and thermal protection.
The INV1200 is available with a filtered ac mains input with bypass capability in the event of loss of dc input. Included with this option are LEDs for dc in, ac in and ac out, and Form C relays for alarm notification.
The inverter measures 3.5 inches high by 17 wide by 17 deep and weighs 25 pounds. It is supplied with removable rack-mount angles and is ideal for local benchtop power or rack mounting.
Prices start at $1,995, with delivery from stock to 30 days. Also available is the model INV1210, with a quasi-sine-wave output, for $1,295.
