Coral Springs, Fla. - Unipower's PowerCassette Rack is a 1U-high, 19-inch rack that holds two of the company's new PowerCassette switching power supplies.
With the two units in a 1 + 1 redundant, hot-swap configuration, the system produces up to 600 watts dc with up to six outputs. The PowerCassettes and rack can also be operated in a non-redundant mode to provide up to 1,200 W. The PowerCassette's outputs are programmed at the factory to meet customer requirements.
The rack's options include front or back ac power entry using either IEC320 inputs with switches or terminal-block inputs. Either single or dual inputs can be chosen. A clear plastic safety cover is available for the rear of the unit.
Each PowerCassette hot-swap power module is held in place by a front-panel jackscrew. All power outputs and control and monitoring inputs and outputs are located in the back of the rack for fast connection. The V1 and V2 high-power outputs are made to copper bus bars. Other outputs and the control and monitoring signals are available on two D-type connectors. The TPCHR1U2 two-position PowerCassette racks are priced from $340 in OEM quantities. A system with two six-output 600-watt PowerCassette supplies is priced from $1,040. Delivery time is stock to four weeks in small quantities.
