Carlsbad, Calif. - The Adirondack dual-PowerPC ATX board from SBS Technologies Inc. runs at processor speeds from 400 to 667 MHz. The unit includes VxWorks and Linux software support plus PCI expansion capability. It is intended to give PowerPC users a rapid prototyping capability that enables parallel hardware and software development.
Its two IBM 750CXe processors feature on-chip Level 2 cache. The board is equipped with a CPC710 dual bridge and a memory controller running at up to 133 MHz. Additional memory includes 128 Mbytes to 1 Gbyte of SDRAM and 16 to 64 Mbytes of flash. I/O includes SCSI-3, ATA-100, floppy, USB and dual Ethernet. Six PCI slots enable expansion for Fibre Channel, Gigabit Ethernet, T1/E1, HSSI, DS3, MPEG and other standard PCI cards. The company also provides custom PowerPC design and manufacturing to meet specific OEM application requirements.
