Santa Clara, Calif. - For manufacturers of networking and telecommunications equipment or set-top boxes that still need them, Integrated Silicon Solution Inc. (ISSI) is offering four 16-Mbit asynchronous DRAMs that combine 50-ns access times with low standby and operating current.
The 3.3-volt IS41LV82002 and IS41LV82052 and the 5-V IS41C82002 and IS41-C82052 are available with either extended-data-output timing (in the case of the IS41LV82002 and IS41C-82002) or fast-page-mode timing (for the IS41LV-82052 and IS41C82052).
Anatol Kaganovich, senior director of factory applications, said the legacy devices "are intended to provide an uninterrupted supply of low- and medium-density DRAM to our customers, who were facing a massive exodus of traditional DRAM suppliers from this market."
The memories are priced at $3.75 in quantities of 10,000. Samples will be available in July, and volume shipments of the devices are expected to start in October.
