San Jose, Calif. - High Bandwidth Access Inc. is sampling FIFO queuing devices that operate at up to 166 MHz, are available in densities to 5 Mbits and can be configured in x10, x20 and x40 widths.
The FlexQ III Plus devices are designed to boost the performance and speed of telecommunications, broadband, optical-networking, data network storage and video imaging applications by enabling elastic buffering for data traffic.
The chips are said to reduce the need for multiple buffering devices, and to provide more flexibility for managing data that crosses multiple clock domains.
Samples of parts with densities to 1.25 Mbits are available now, with volume production planned for the first quarter. Samples of 5-Mbit parts should be ready in the first quarter.
Prices start at $18 in quantities of 10,000.
