Sunnyvale, Calif. - Philips Semiconductors has added two clock-distribution chips to its performance-telecom and networking portfolio. The PTN1111 and PTN2111 operate in 2.5-volt systems and provide PECL or LVDS clock-distribution solutions in fan-out ratios up to 1:10.
Both products have skew characteristics of 35 picoseconds output to output and 100 ps part to part. Any combination of output drivers can be selected to distribute the clocking signal, with unused channels powered down.
The PTN1111 and PTN2111 are shipping now in 32-pin LQFPs, priced at $6.75 each in quantities of 10,000.
