Milpitas, Calif. - Dual (LT6203) and quad (LT6204) operational amplifiers from Linear Technology Corp. combine a 100-MHz gain bandwidth product with a 2.3-milliamp typical supply current per amplifier and noise of 1.9 nanovolts/square root of hertz at 100 kHz.
The unity-gain-stable, voltage feedback amps feature rail-to-rail input common-mode range and rail-to-rail output voltage swing, a rare combination in a low-noise amplifier, said Tim Regan, applications manager for the company's signal-conditioning group. The amps operate on single or split supplies from 2.5 to 12 V, and are said to enable designs that use 50 to 80 percent less power than would a plus/minus 5-V design.
Applications include oscillators, filters and driving/buffering A/D converters in set-top boxes, portable test and medical gear, multichannel-telecom and wireless systems. The LT6203 comes in eight-lead SO-8 and MSOP, the LT6204 in an SO-14 or SSOP-16. Both are offered in 0 degrees C to 70 degrees C and -40 degrees C to 85 degrees C temperature ranges. In lots of 1,000, prices start at 64 cents.
