Fremont, Calif. - Bustronic Corp.'s Power Interface Boards (PIBs) are designed as separate boards for the power section of a backplane, where they're used to facilitate pluggable power supplies, headers and utility connectors.
The PIBs' standard backplane lines use power taps and power studs, which are wired to the power supplies. The first two models come in standard 3U height and offer one or two 47-pin Positronic hot-pluggable power supply connectors. Also included are power taps for +5 V, 3.3 V, and GND for +12 V and -12 V.
Other features include a header for voltage sense and IPMB interface, an auxiliary/disk-drive connector and a power switch header. The sense lines help the power supply to more efficiently regulate the power at the load end, the company said. The IPMB interface complies with the PICMG 2.9 Rev. 1.0 system-management specification. The PIB also meets the PICMG 2.11 Rev. 1.0 power interface specification.
Pricing starts at $130, with a two- to four-week lead time.
