Sunnyvale, Calif. - Maxim Integrated Products says its MAX6736-MAX6745 dual- and triple-voltage microprocessor supervisory family for monitoring supply voltages from 0.9 to 5 V is the smallest and lowest-powered (6 microamps) of its kind.
These fixed-voltage supervisors, in a five-pin SC70 package, come with a manual reset input. Whenever a monitored supply voltage falls below its respective threshold or the user asserts a manual reset, a reset time-out (150 or 1,200 ms minimum) begins until all monitored voltages return to normal.
The dual-voltage MAX6738 and MAX6739 have one fixed and one adjustable reset threshold input. The MAX6740 and MAX6743 monitor three voltages with one adjustable and two fixed reset threshold inputs. The dual fixed-voltage MAX6741 and MAX6744 microprocessor supervisors have a power-OK output for power sequencing. And the MAX6742 and MAX6745 have an independent power-fail comparator that can be used to monitor an additional voltage or battery. Prices start at $1.38 for the MAX6736-MAX6739 and $1.50 for the MAX6740-MAX-6745, in lots of 2,500.
