Carlsbad, Calif. - Momentum Computer's Cheetah-A single-board CompactPCI computer is configured for the Pentium M processor operating at 1.10 GHz or 1.60 GHz. Coupled with the Intel processor, the Cheetah-A SBC incorporates the Intel E7501 chip set with memory controller to provide an optimized combination of high performance, I/O bandwidth and low power requirements that are well-suited for communications and other form-factor-constrained environments.
Cheetah-A systems feature two 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet ports that are routed to the backplane J3 connector as PICMG 2.16 nodes, while two intelligent-platform-management bus interfaces on the backplane J1 connector ensure PICMG compliance. The hot-swappable boards autosenses whether to operate as CompactPCI system boards or nonsystem boards as required.
A wide range of I/O and storage interfaces through the front panel and the backplane J3 connector ensure maximum flexibility. A 64-bit, 66/33-Mhz PMC site and 32-bit 33-Mhz backplane J5 PCI interface enable further I/O expansion. The Intel E7501 chip set supports a 400-MHz processor bus and up to 2 Gbytes of dual-channel 200-MHz double-data-rate SDRAM with ECC. The Cheetah-A computers work with Windows 2000 and XP as well as Linux operating systems.
