Scottsdale, Ariz. - NKK Switches' panel-mount key lock switches have four- and five-tumbler locking mechanisms for high-security applications. The CK series, available in 19- and 16-mm-diameter bushings, features a vertically rotating switching mechanism and self-cleaning sliding contacts to ensure long life, smooth operation and guaranteed circuit contact, said the company. The switches offer a high dielectric strength of 1,500 volts between the contacts.
The CKL switch, available with a 19-mm bushing and four-tumbler locking mechanism, is constructed of die-cast zinc alloy with chrome plating for higher-security applications. CKL models can withstand humidity at 90 to 95 percent for 96 hours at 40 degrees C, NKK Switches said.
The CKM model, built of fiberglass-reinforced PBT, features a five-tumbler locking mechanism and is said to offer the static capability to withstand 15-kV electrostatic discharge. CKM switches can withstand humidity at 90 to 95 percent for 240 hours at 40 degrees C.
The operating temperature range for both types is -25 degrees C to 70 degrees C. The CK series switches, rated at 3 amps at 250 Vac, offer circuit options of on-on or on-off-on. The two-position models, available in single pole, have a 90 degrees angle of throw. The three-position models offer a 45 degrees angle of throw. Pricing for the CKM12BTW01 is $7.40 each in quantities of 500.
