San Diego, Calif. - Pulse, a Technitrol Company, has expanded its power inductor product offering with the introduction of 11 models of the new PG0083 series of low-profile (4.2mm max.), high-power, surface mount inductors.
Designed for high-density, high-power circuits that typically run at high temperatures, applications include voltage regulator modules (VRMs) for P4 or higher microprocessors, AC/DC switched-mode power supplies and DC/DC converters in distributed power architectures for high-performance servers and workstations, telecom network switches, routers and base station equipment.
The PG0083 inductors feature low direct-current resistance (DCR), excellent thermal efficiency, current ratings of up to 19 amps direct current and a saturation current up to 28.6 amps. The series also offers an extended operating temperature, up to 130 degrees C
The PG0083 series offers an inductance range from 0.18 to 3.76 microhenries, operating currents from 4.5 amps to 19 amps, and low DCR values from 1.7 milliohms to 36.6 milliohms. Saturation currents range from 5.7 amps to 28.6 amps.
Detailed technical specifications are available on datasheet P605.A at www.pulseeng.com/pdf/P605.pdf
Available in tape-and-reel packaging, prices for the PG0083 inductors start at $0.29 each in quantities of 50,000. Delivery is six to eight weeks.
