Rosemont, Ill. - Sola/Hevi-Duty's new S2K Series of line-interactive uninterruptible power supplies (UPSes) tout small size, increased functionality, and an automatic voltage regulation (AVR) topology that saves battery power for deep-sag situations (input voltage below 78 volts). Rated at 300 to 1,000 VA --- similar to the company's 2000 Series UPSes --- the S2K adds a bi-weekly battery checking function, two surge-protected outlets (total of six NEMA outlets), a USB port, and user access to the battery. In addition, batteries can be hot-swapped. Typical backup time is 5 to 12 minutes at full load. The mini-tower design (versus shoebox type design of the 2000 Series) measures 8.7 by 4.6 by 7.7 inches (HWD) for its 300- and 500-VA models, and 8.7 by 4.6 by 14.1 inches for its 650- and 1,000-VA versions.
Pricing for the S2K, which is available in 120 and 230 VAC models, starts at $151 each.
