Apex Embedded Systems (Monona, Wisconsin) is dishing up a PC/104 card, called the Stratus-X-ND PC/104, that enables relatively high-speed data acquisition, without interrupts, over a -40°C to +85°C range.
The card is a 16-channel analog-input device that offers 16-bit resolution.
The Stratus-X-ND card also provides a 1-Msample buffer to help eliminate interrupt latency and enable embedded high-speed transient data recording.
The big buffer ensures continuous high-speed sampling without loss of data. Maximum data sampling rate is 200,000 ksamples/s. Dual 16-bit analog outputs are also optionally available.
Operating in Linux and Windows environments, the card also offers multi-card software legacy compatibility modes. These are provided for existing third party software drivers. The multi-card software legacy compatibility modes ensure that the product will be a drop-in for existing developed software and/or drivers.
The card's analog inputs are low-noise, low-drift channels that provide wide programmable input-voltage ranges. A hardware moving-average filter is also provided for additional noise reduction---with no software overhead.
