Pittsburgh, Pa. Murata Manufacturing Co. Ltd. and Ansoft Corp. have released a new surface-mount component library that consists of Murata's capacitor and inductor components for use with the Ansoft Designer EDA software to help customers develop next generation of ultra-miniature telecommunications products with greater accuracy.
The device library contains proprietary equivalent simulation
models of Murata's discrete capacitor and coil inductor products for use
in general-purpose high-frequency designs. These devices are key
building blocks in the development of radio frequency (RF) circuits
and sub-systems found in commercial and military applications. This library improves design accuracy by supplying vendor-authorized device models directly as ready-to-use components, said the company.
The Murata library is available free and can be downloaded at Murata's Web site
www.murata.com/designlib/ansoft. Murata will maintain model support and upgrades, while Ansoft will provide customer support for Ansoft Designer.
