Santee, Calif. - HiTek Power's OL20K and OL30K series extend the maximum output of the company's high-power, high-voltage supply families to 20 and 30 kilowatts, respectively, at voltages up to 200 kV. Thus they are suited for use in a wide range of electron- and ion-beam systems, including ion implantation, ion vapor deposition, electron-beam welding, and particle acceleration.
The OL20K, comprising a converter housed in a 6U-high rack-mounting cabinet and a separate high-voltage multiplier assembly, delivers a highly stabilized DC output of up to 20 kW from either 208- or 400-VAC three-phase mains. The OL30K provides up to 30 kW from a 400-volt input. Individual 20-kV multipliers are combined to provide an output voltage between 100 and 200 kV. Outputs can be paralleled for higher output current. Lower-voltage versions of these supplies are also available for high-current applications such as sputtering and plasma systems.
These supplies feature high stability, fast recovery times and low ripple. They incorporate robust IGBT (insulated gate bipolar transistor) technology, and are particularly well protected from damage due to surges or arcs. Users may set and monitor voltage and current parameters via analog inputs or with fiberoptic links to a PC that runs custom control software via an RS232 interface.
The OL20K and OL30K are CE marked and meet appropriate international safety and emission specifications. They come with a one-year warranty and are priced starting at $27,000 each in production quantities. Availability is stock to 14 weeks.
