Rolling Meadows, Ill. Ohmite Manufacturing Company has recently announced the introduction of its new RW1S0CK Series of SMD current sense resistors and 30 Series of high-energy wirewound resistors.
Designed for precision current sensing applications, the RW1SOCK 4-terminal resistors are offered in a resistance range from 0.005Ω to 0.050Ω. Four stocked values are offered as off-the-shelf items in both 1% and 0.5% tolerances.

Ohmite's 30 series resistors are manufactured specifically to maximize and fix the joule rating of each resistor. Energy ratings for standard values from 1Ω to 150Ω are published at Ohmite's web site www.ohmite.com.
These high-energy wirewound resistors are designed for pulse applications where energy rating, rather than continuous power rating, is the key concern for the designer. Standard versions are inductively wound, and in low frequency, low resistance applications, can replace composition type resistors. The 30 series resistors are available in both surface-mount and heat sinkable versions.

Both the RW1SOCK and 30 Series resistors are sold through Ohmite's distribution network. Available in tape-and-reel or in loose 10-piece packages, suggested pricing for the RW1SOCK devices in single reel quantities is $2.80 each for 1% versions and $2.95 each for 0.5% versions.
Pricing for 30 series axial-leaded resistors ranges from $0.60 to $0.90 in quantities of 1,000, depending on power rating.
