Boca Raton, Fla. NRC Electronics, Inc. in conjunction with Design Chain Associates and EPTAC Corp. will present a half-day "Introduction to Lead Free" seminar on the impact of the European Union Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and WEEE Hazardous Materials Directives on July 21, 2004 at NRC's Florida facility.
By July 1, 2006, the European Union (EU) will begin restricting the material content of electronic products being shipped within and to the EU. The purpose of this seminar is to discuss how this initiative will impact business processes, says the company, and what processes need to be addressed to succeed in the transition. These directives will impact product development and manufacturing business processes, existing relationships with the supply base, and require additional resources. This seminar will focus on how to start planning for these directives and how to meet their requirements. Attendance is free of charge.
