Astoria, N.Y. Quartzlock USA's new HSRO series of high stability rubidium oscillators feature a high stable signal for time-frequency measurements. In combination with a small size and excellent short-term accuracy, the new oscillators can be used in a variety of high-performance applications. These include frequency calibration, telecom network synchronization, cellular phone base stations, satellite navigation, GPS receivers, radio transmitters, ground and satellite communications, time base and calibration, secure communications, spread spectrum techniques and radio navigation.
Available in frequencies of 1 MHz, 5 MHz, 10 MHz, 10.24 MHz and 13 MHz, the HSRO devices measure 75 x 87 x 157-mm. Connections are made through a 6-pin connector (for 24 Vdc power) and a SMA-type female connector. Key specifications include a stability of 4x10-13/100s, and drift of 2x10-11 per month. SSB phase noise is -155 dBc at 10 kHz. Harmonic distortion is rated at -40 dB and a non-harmonic distortion in the 10 Hz to 10 kHz range is -80 dBc. The operating temperature range is -10°C to 55°C.
