Taking advantage of new developments in the plastic film industry, Leclanche has added a new dimension, or rather has reduced dimensions of its line of high-voltage high-frequency capacitors. In certain cases, the volume has been reduced by 40%.
The company announced three new series of high-voltage- and high-frequency capacitors using the new developments. Voltages range from 200V DC to 60kV DC with frequencies up to 500kHz. The capacitor series KHT- 50, PPHF 100, PPHFS 100 and PPHT are designed for applications like high DC voltage filtering, HF coupling signals, Pulses / Fast discharges, Voltage multiplierd, Bypassing circuits, PLCC systems, Voltage dividers, HF-signal coupling and HT SMPS power supplies.
Leclanch capacitors have been approved for use in major railways across Europe as well as PLCC, medical, broadcast, and power supply applications. The capacitors can be wrapped in a special material that allows for submersion in oil.
The main characteristics of the series are compact size, test voltage to 2 x Un, dielectric polypropylene, low dielectric losses, axial connections with tinned copper wires and epoxy resin end seal. The capacitors can be mounted in any position.
