Elk Grove Village, Ill. Transducers USA says its TRIE-23xx and TRIE-26xx buzzers meet new medical equipment requirements and has received initial approval to supply the components to the medical market. The new specification requires that medical and analysis equipment be provided with alerts that offer different frequency level outputs so that individual instruments can be identified by their pitch. It also requires that the alerts have audio outputs with frequencies lower than 1000 cycles per second.
Model TRIE-26xx audio alert is offered in rated voltages of 6, 12 and 24 Vdc at 40 mA for each rated voltage. Sound pressure is rated at 75 dBA minimum at 400±100 Hz.
The TRIE-23xx EM buzzer is available in either panel or PC-mount versions in rated voltages of 3, 6, 9, 12 and 24 Vdc at 25 mA for each rated voltage. A 1.5-V device at 20 mA is also available. Sound pressure across the voltage range is 75 dBA minimum at 400±100 Hz.
