Hopkinton, Mass. Valpey Fisher Corp. has expanded its frequency control portfolio with the addition of new oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) and temperature-compensated voltage-controlled crystal oscillator (TCVCXO) lines that feature low power consumption and low phase noise.
Key characteristics of the new VFTNH OCXO series include power consumption of less than 120 mW, a frequency range from 40 MHz to 220 MHz and very low phase noise of -165 dBc/Hz at 10 KHz offset, resulting in a significant improvement in the cost to performance ratio, said the company. Several package options are available including 20 x 20 mm, DIL 14, DIL 16 and 1 x 1 inch. Applications include datacommunications, microwave sources, telecommunications, GPS equipment, instrumentation and SARSAT beacons and battery-powered systems.
Designed for high frequency applications up to 1 GHz, the new VFT7H TCVCXO series features very low phase noise and phase jitter, and excellent frequency stability, said the company. Housed in a small, low-profile SMD package, the TCVCXOs are available in CMOS, sinewave or differential PECL outputs. See datasheet at the company's web site for a complete list of specs. Applications include datacommunications, instrumentation, telecommunications and battery-powered systems.
The starting price for the VFTNH is $100.00/1,000 pieces, depending on specifications and frequency. Starting price for the VFT7H is $45.00/1,000 pieces, depending on specifications and frequency. Typical delivery is 12 weeks.
