APW Enclosure Solutions introduces IMRAK ServerMax, the largest and most versatile member of the family to date, bringing even greater capability to the long-established leader in the European networking enclosures market.
IMRAK ServerMax is designed to overcome the fact that the mechanical size, weight and mounting arrangements of servers from the mainstream manufacturers vary considerably. Unless the server rack can accommodate each and every variation without needing to be modified, the network manager is likely to find his upgrade path severely constrained, not by the performance of the unit, but by its physical envelope.
IMRAK ServerMax has a load rating of 1000kg, is available in heights of 42U and 47U, widths of 600 mm and 800 mm and is a massive 1000mm (1,072 mm door to door) deep. The design provides significantly more cable space at the sides and rear of the unit without intruding into the useable 19" area. The perforated front door, the double vented "wardrobe" rear doors and the vented top cover, all with more than 60% open area, ensure that thermal management issues are minimised. The vented top covers include dedicated cable access panels.
The standard swing handle locking system can be readily upgraded to a cylinder lock or an electronic keypad without any changes to the metalwork while the split three-section rear panel mountings ensure that ServerMax can easily be configured to accept mixed equipment, making it versatile and readily reconfigurable as the housed equipment is upgraded. A new design of panel mounts gives a full 486mm clearance, enabling even the largest servers.
All existing IMRAK accessories, power distribution panels and thermal management products are fully compatible with ServerMax; the rack is available in traditional IMRAK RAL 7035/7037 two-tone grey or anthracite/black to complement existing installations and to fit in with contemporary colour schemes.
