Sidney, N.Y. Amphenol Industrial Operations now offers its Amphe-Power connector series through its nationwide distribution network. The Amphe-Power series consists of three families P-Lok, GT, and AC connectors. The connectors feature RADSOK technology, a terminal that uses a stamped hyperbolic grid to provide low insertion force, high amperage, high reliability, and a longer cycle life. Additional RADSOK lines will be available through the company's distribution network in the future.

The Amphe-Power series, which can handle up to 50% higher amperages than MS-standard products, currently supports 50 A to 1,000 A+ of continuous duty. A wide range of Amphe-Power shell styles and layouts enhanced with the RADSOK high amperage contacts are available.
RADSOK utilizes the tensile strength properties of a flat, high conductivity alloy grid for the high normal forces required for conductivity, while providing a large conductive surface area. This results in a correspondingly low voltage drop and low temperature rise while maintaining low insertion forces, said the company.
Designed for high amperage applications such as fuel cells, load banks, and charging systems, the P-Lok connectors feature a quick mating push/pull locking mechanism and meets IP67 specifications for environmental sealing. The connector can be over-molded as a custom cable with EMI shield termination to the plug shell.
The Amphe-Power GT connectors are reverse bayonet coupling connectors. These connectors can handle increased current for high shock and vibration applications, and is suitable for high power process control and server applications. The waterproof GT connector comes in a heavy duty, rugged shell with a variety of backshell options and is available with an over-molded coupling nut for added damage protection and increased gripping surface.
The threaded cylindrical Amphe-Power AC connectors are available in a variety of styles including solid shell for general, non-environmental applications and pressurized for bulkheads and pressure barriers.
