Gardena, Calif. J.W. Miller Magnetics has added its first common mode EMI chip filter series to its portfolio of magnetics products. The company says the new PM0805CM and PM1206CM surface-mount chip filters provide high performance common-mode impedance and excellent noise suppression in signal lines for a variety of high-speed standard analog and digital applications.
Typical applications include USB 2.0 lines for personal computers and peripheral devices, IEEE 1394 lines for personal computers, digital video cameras, and low voltage differential signaling, as well as panel link lines for liquid crystal display panels.
Available in industry standard 0805 and 1206 footprints, the new chip filters feature a wirewound design that provides low DC resistance, high current tolerance and stable performance. Impedance ranges from 30 to 2000 ohms and the operating temperature range is -55°C to 125°C.
Shipped in reels of 2000, the PM1206CM series is priced at $0.375 each and $0.382 each for the PM0805CM series. Delivery is four to six weeks.
