Melville, N.Y. PartMiner, Inc. has announced a partnership with Beijing's Tsinghua University to provide content about Chinese manufactured electronic components for its CAPS database of more than 35 million components. The database includes detailed, searchable technical data and information about product changes and obsolescence.
To address the needs of the Chinese electronics sector and research institutes, the new partnership will concentrate its efforts on improving the CAPS database by focusing on expanding the content of Chinese manufactured components.
PartMiner said the compilation of the Chinese component information by PartMiner and Tsinghua will enable buyers and engineers both within the Chinese electronics market and worldwide to quickly assess component information, and make better-informed component selection decisions.
In addition, the new partnership will establish an Industry Advisory Board that will be headed by the Electrical Engineering Department at Tsinghua University. Its purpose will be to review and suggest future improvements to the CAPS service.
