Taiwan Aliner Industries Inc. says it has launched the industry's first 6 GHz antenna switch connector with a MMCX interface for wireless mobile electronics applications. The new MMCX switch connector, designated as 25-501A, provides the same features of a standard MMCX interface in a 10.8 (length) x 4.40 (width) x 1.60-mm (height) footprint, and can replace RF coax connectors at a lower cost, said the company.
The new Aliner 25-501A switch connector delivers a VSWR of less than 1.25 up to 3 GHz, and 1.4 up to 6 GHz with an insertion loss of -0.25 dB. It offers greater than 3,000 mating cycles. Available in PC-board/edge mount, the new 50-ohm connector is in compliance with RoHS requirements.
The 25-501A MMCX switch connector can be delivered in tray/reel packaging for high volume pick-and-place manufacturing. The company is scheduled to ramp up mass production for the 25-501A in March 2005.
Sample pricing starts at $0.97 in quantities of 500. Free samples are available on request. Delivery is two to three weeks for quantities of 100,000.
