Kontron Embedded Modules is pre-announcing a new ETXexpress-PM module that's billed as the first COM Express product to be based on the Intel 760 Pentium M processor and 915GM chipset.
When it debuts, Kontron's new ETXexpress COM (computer-on-module) board will be the first mobile platform to offer PCI Express. It will clock at up to 2.13-GHz, and will use up to 2-Gbytes of DDR2-DIMM RAM.
For applications that require realtime video, the ETXexpress-PM will support both Intel Extreme Graphics 2 and PCI Express graphics.
High-speed communications will be made possible by a 10/100Bast-T Ethernet port, which will be upgraded to be Gbit-ready in future ETXexpress COMs.
Sample ETXexpress-PM modules will be available in late Q1 2005.
