Gardena, Calif. A new series of micro-miniature chip inductors from J.W. Miller Magnetics are designed to provide extremely tight inductance tolerance with highly stable performance. The new series PM0402T and PM0603T chip inductors are particularly suited for space-constrained applications such as Bluetooth, cell phone, and LAN/WAN wireless devices that require high-frequency, high-density circuitry.
Featuring a compact size of 1.0 x 0.5 x 0.35 mm (Model PM0402T) and 1.6 x 0.8 x 0.45 mm (Model PM0603T), the new components feature a photolithographic design that enables precise tolerances of ±2%, with an inductance range of 1.0 μH to 68 μH at 100 MHz. The efficient device exhibits a high Q value of up to 17 at 300 MHz, a high self-resonant frequency (SRF) of up to 6 GHz minimum, and a DC current of 70 to 800 mA. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 125°C.
These new RoHS compliant chip inductors are packaged in tape-and-reel quantities of 10,000 and 5,000. The new devices are priced from $0.113 each (Series PM0402T) and $0.183 each (Series PM0603T) in production quantities. Delivery is four to six weeks.
