Boca Raton, Fla. JARO Components Inc. has developed its new THI series of high-frequency inductors as a more economical choice than traditional wirewound or thin-film inductors. Designed for critical tolerance requirement applications, the new inductor is comprised of a photolithographically-etched thin-film coated on a single-layer ceramic to achieve high self-resonant frequency (SRF), excellent quality (Q) factor, and high-temperature stability.
Available in a 0402 or 0603 package, the new inductors are available in an inductance range of 1 to 68 nH, and rated current range of 70 to 350 mA. Typical inductance tolerance is 2% or 0.2 nH with available tolerances as low as ±1 nH. Strict SRF is controlled within 10%.
These devices are suitable for tight tolerance VCO and GaAs matching requirements in addition to cell phones, pagers, GPS products, wireless LAN and other RF applications. The series is RoHS compliant. Click here for the datasheet.
The THI160808-3N3B (3.9 nH, 300 mA, ±.1 nH) is priced at $0.13 each in quantities of 4,000. Delivery is six to eight weeks.
