ZMD America has announced immediate availability of a new device in its expanding family of RBICLite resistive bridge signal conditioners. The ZMD 31010 sensor signal conditioner can be configured and calibrated using a Windows based computer via a low-cost, simple one-wire interface. The device also offers a fast response time of 1ms. Fully contained, no external trimming components are required.
Setting the new standard in performance the ZMD31010 employs true-differential chopper-stabilized charged-balanced A/D converter and chopper-stabilized 11-bit monotonic DAC. The device also features single-wire ZACwire digital interface with easy calibration and end-of-manufacture calibration via ZMD's SIGnal pin.
Like other members of ZMD's family of resistive bridge-signal processors, the 31010 is high on performance, boasting selectable response time up to 1KHz, programmable analog (10-90% V+, 0-1V) and digital output (serial ZACwire).
Other features benefits, include low quiescent current of under 250μA for battery applications, 14-bit digital output resolution on pressure, selectable bridge readings, and temperature output signal in digital mode.
The device is ideal in a variety of products and systems, such as automobiles, global navigation systems, handheld data loggers, medical products, personal digital assistants, and a variety of commercial and consumer applications.
Samples are available now in an SOP8 package at a piece price of $2.30 each. In quantities of 100,000 devices, devices are priced under $1.30 each.
Engineers can evaluate the ZMD 31010 and speed their time to design by ordering an evaluation kit. The kit includes a printed circuit board, device samples, and all the necessary software and documentation. The kit is available by visiting the ZMD website at .
