Souderton, PA AR Worldwide has introduced two new models in its line of S Series broadband amplifiers. Models 700S1G4 (0.8 to 4.2 GHz) and 800S1G3 (0.8 to 3 GHz) have rated power outputs of 700 watts and 800 watts respectively.
The amplifiers were designed to have low levels of spurious signals and superior linearity, making them well suited for use as driver amplifiers in testing wireless and communication components and subsystems. Each can be used as a test instrument covering multiple frequency bands, and they are suitable for a variety of communication technologies such as CDMA, W-CDMA, TDMA, GSM, etc. They can also be used for EMC Test applications where high power and undistorted modulation envelopes are desired.
Specifically, the 700S1G4 features harmonic distortion of better than -20dBc at 625 watts and a typical third-order intercept point of +68 dBm. Maximum gain is better than 59 dB with a 15-dB minimum gain adjustment.
