Bohemia, NY—The 57S81 from North Atlantic Industries, working from a 115/230 VAC or 270 VDC input, delivers up to 500 watts for Versa Module and extended instrumentation (VME and VXI) applications associated with industrial and military (NAVMAT compliance) requirements. The low-profile supply is available in two versions. The VXI option (8 outputs) provides +5 (30 amps, main output), ±12, ±24, -2 and -5.2 volts, as well as a +5 volt standby output. The VME option (5 outputs) provides +5 (main output), ±12 and +3.3 volts, and a 5-volt standby output.
Supply features include a line regulation and load regulation of within 0.1 percent or 10 mV (whichever is greater), noise and ripple of 50 mV p-p maximum for the supply's 2-12 VDC outputs and 150 mV p-p maximum for the ±24 and ±28 volt outputs, and typical efficiency of 75 percent. Input-to-output isolation is 1 kVDC; output-to-case isolation is 100 VDC.
