Ledgewood, N.J. Bomar Interconnect Products Inc. has added a SMB interconnect to its proprietary Eliminator coaxial series, that also includes a family of F-style connectors. These Eliminator interfaces are designed to eliminate the need for extra cable assemblies and PC-board connectors traditionally required to mate box-type, or modular integrated components to boards. Users only have to connect the Eliminator connector directly to an electronic device and drop it onto the PC-board.
In addition to significantly reducing installation time, the new subminiature SMB Eliminator interconnect is available in 50- and 75-ohm impedance, and provides broadband performance with extremely low reflection from DC to 4 GHz. Other key specifications include an insulation resistance of 1,000 mOhms minimum, and a dielectric withstanding voltage of 1,000 Vrms. The operating temperature range is -65°C to 165°C.
The new right-angle interface can be used in multi-board applications in which digital to RF conversion is required. Applications include a broad range of military, industrial, consumer, and medical equipment.
The SMB Eliminator is manufactured of precision machined brass and features TFE insulators, and gold-plated contacts to ensure continuous reliability. The series is fully customizable to accommodate various PC-board thickness, plating options, and board-to-board spacing. A die-cast version is also offered.
Pricing for the SMB Eliminator starts at $1.38 each in quantities of 1,000. Delivery is from stock to 12 weeks.
