Corpus Christi, Tex. New TaNFilm high-temperature product lines from TT electronics IRC Advanced Film help maintain critical electrical characteristics in high-temperature applications. These new products include the PFCD-HT series of surface-mount voltage dividers, the PFC-HT series of TaNFilm chip resistors and the 1900HT/4700HT series of DIP and SIP networks.
All HT series devices will operate within its capabilities at 200°C, which is a critical characteristic for instrumentation that operates in high temperature conditions, according to the company. The TaNFilm high temperature products are also suitable for other applications where parts are subjected to stress from extended heat exposure or extreme temperature changes including military and aerospace applications.
Available in a 1206 package size, the PFCD-HT surface-mount voltage divider offers a power rating of 125 mW. The divider chip features a resistance range of 100Ω to 25 KΩ per resistor with absolute tolerance of ±1% and absolute temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) rating as low as ±25ppm/°C. Ratio tolerances to ±0.1% and TC tracking to ±5 ppm/°C provide a superior alternative to matched sets, said the company. The operating temperature range is -65°C to 200°C.
The PFC-HT series TaNFilm chip resistors provide a power rating of 62.5 mW, 100 W and 125 mW with an operating temperature up to 200°C. The resistors have absolute TCRs available to ±25 ppm/°C depending on resistance value. Both the surface-mount voltage dividers and chip resistors are available with plated gold or 100% tin (lead-free) terminations. They are available in 0603, 0805 and 1206 case sizes.
The 1900HT and 4700HT high-temperature DIP and SIP networks feature bonded leads that are not susceptible to solder reflow problems. The networks have absolute TCRs to ±25 ppm/°C with TC tracking to ±5 ppm/°C. Absolute tolerances to ±0.1% with ratio accuracies to ±0.05% are available. Power rating for the DIP package is 1.12 W to 1.28 W depending on package size, while SIP power ranges from 0.24 W to 0.32 W. The temperature range is -65°C to 200°C.
Typical pricing for the PFCD-HT divider series devices is $3.00 with lead times of 12 weeks; PFC-HT series resistors are priced at $1.00 with lead times from 10 to 12 weeks, and 1900HT/4700HT series networks are priced at $5.00 with lead times from six to eight weeks.
