San Jose, CAWJ Communications, Inc. introduced the MH205A mixer for 2.5G and 3G wireless applications. This new device delivers up a +35-dBm input third-order intercept point (IIP3), L-I isolation of 50 dB and operates from 800 to 960 MHz. The MH205A meets the RoHS industry standards and is available in a Pb-free SOIC-8 package.
The MH205A is a passive GaAs MESFET mixer that uses patented techniques to realize +35 dBm Input IP3 at an LO drive level of +17 dBm when used in a simple application circuit in an upconverting or downconverting high-side LO configuration. This single monolithic integrated circuit does not require any external baluns or bias elements and operates over a frequency of 800-960 MHz. Typical applications include frequency up/down conversion, modulation and demodulation for receivers and transmitters used in cellular-band 2.5G and 3G wireless infrastructure.
The MH205A is priced at $2.25 each in 10,000-piece quantities. Evaluation boards and samples are available now. Click here for the data sheet.
