Corpus Christi, Tex. TT electronics IRC Advanced Film Division has developed a high current, low resistance cross-over jumper component for power supply manufacturers that beats the competition with a 35-A current rating. Typically used in circuits for power audio amplifiers as well as linear and switching power supplies, the company said the new LRZ series offers a current rating that is five times higher than the competition, along with an ultra-low resistance value of less than 0.003 ohms.
Available in 1206, 2010 and 2512 case sizes, the LRZ components offer an inductance value of less than 0.2 nH. These packages have a maximum resistance value of 0.003 ohms and a dielectric withstanding voltage of 200 V. Maximum current for each package ranges up to 20 A, 30 A and 35 A, respectively.
The LRZ series components are constructed using a thick copper layer on an alumina substrate, with a protective overcoat covering the jumper element. The devices are available in RoHS compliant versions, or they can be ordered with 60/40 tin/lead solder plating and a nickel barrier layer. The operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
All jumpers in the LRZ series have been tested for environmental performance, short time overload, high temperature exposure, moisture resistance and low temperature operation. Custom values are available.
