Irvine, Calif.Test equipment supplier Geotest-Marvin Test Systems is adding a high I/O-count PXI card to its product line. Although there's nothing on the company's Web site about this product, and no datasheet available, Geotest is revealing preliminary details about it, and has established pricing at $1995.
Dubbed the GX5641, the 3U-sized PXI card can be used just about anywhere you need lots of digital I/O. The GX5641 gives you 64 bi-directional TTL-compatible or differential channels, for 128 individual digital inputs or outputs. Applications abound in data acquisition, process control and factory automation, as well as in automatic test equipment and functional test applications.
TTL And Differential I/O
In use, the card can be operated independently or controlled by software. What's more, the card's channels can be pre-defined to convert TTL to differential and vice versa. With that capability, you can convert existing TTL I/O signals to differential TTL I/O. obviously, you can use the card in conjunction with existing TTL circuits.
