Walnut, Calif. Para Light Corp. has added a 700-mA series to its popular EP4 family of 150 mA and 350 mA enhanced-power (E-Power) LEDs. Available in 3- and 5-watt versions, the new 700 mA series LEDs may be used in traffic signals and signage, flashlights, reading lights, as well as track, cabinet, emergency, security, entertainment industry and architectural lighting applications.
The 700 mA LEDs are available in individual single colors (blue, green, amber, red and cyan). An RGB (red/green/blue) package will be available in the near future along with lighting strips and modules. All EP4 LEDs have viewing angles of 60°, 90° and 100° and offer an output intensity from 2 to 10 candelas. They are available in heat-sink versions, mounted on aluminum printed-circuit-boards, as part of a recently announced LS0R15 series. Total flux for the new LEDs ranges from 30 to 100 lumens at the 700 mA operating current.
The entire EP4 family features a newly designed package that provides higher reliability and color temperature-control stability. In addition, the package now includes a zener diode for electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection, and thermal conductive copper, which raises thermal conductivity and significantly enhances thermal resistance, said the company.
Samples of the new 700 mA EP4 series LEDs are available for purchase at $7 each for single colors. Delivery is six weeks.
