Belvidere, Ill. NDK (Nihon Dempa Kogyo Co., Ltd.) has introduced two surface-mount temperature compensated crystal oscillators (TCXOs) to assist in signal discrimination in satellite radio receivers that typically require high-performance frequency sources to help receive and decode a 2.4 GHz signal particularly in locations where signals are hard to reach, said the company.
The new NT3225S and NT5032S micro-miniature TCXOs deliver excellent frequency control and high stability of ±2.5 ppm from -30° to 75°C. They are available in frequencies to meet unique requirements of XM and Sirius Radio applications.
The NT3225S measures 3.2 x 2.5mm with a height of 0.9 mm and the NT5032S measures 5. 0 x 3. 2mm with a height of 1.4 mm. The products are lead free, RoHS compliant, and are designed to withstand the requirements of reflow soldering using lead-free solder. NDK is also TS 16949 certified.
The new TCXOs are priced at less than $2.00 each. Delivery is 12 weeks.
