Fort Myers, Fla. A new double-oven oven controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) from Fox Electronics is said to offer the best ratio of stability to size and power consumption on the market. The new FDE/FDD505AH oscillator may be used in high-performance synthesizers, base stations, telecommunications products, and satellite receivers, as well as wireless and RF systems. In addition, the company said it can achieve rubidium-like performance in precision standards when disciplined by GPS.
The new FDE/FDD505AH oscillator uses SC-cut (stress compensated) resonators in a proprietary, double-oven design to provide excellent stability and low-power operation. The new AH oscillator provides a maximum power rating of four watts at turn-on and one watt during use at 25°C while providing ±0.5 ppb stability. Aging is better than ±0.2 ppb per day. The device produces a rectangular output and is available in standard Euro (FDE) or 25 mm (FDD) packages.
Pricing for the 10 MHz 1 ppb 0°C to 70°C Euro package is $255 in quantities of 100. Pricing for the 10MHz 1 ppb 0°C to 70°C 25 mm package is $280 in quantities of 100. Prototype delivery is ten weeks.
