Raleigh, N.C. Following on the heels of its first high-performance analog switch announcement, Austriamicrosystems AG is expanding its offering to include quad-version single-pole, single-throw switches that similarly boast significant switching time improvement over competing devices.
A bandwidth of 130 MHz makes the devices suitable for video and high-speed data signals, according to Austriamicrosystems. The wide supply voltage range from 1.6 V to 3.6 V supports a broad range of designs. All digital logic inputs are 1.8-V CMOS compatible.
Very low power consumption, low on resistance R(ON) and fast switching speed (switching currents up to 250 mA), coupled with the strong power routing performance enabled by the low R(ON) of only 0.9 Ω also makes these switches a good match for low-Ω speakers and headsets, the company said.

The AS1751, AS1752, and AS1753 switches are intended for the high-speed switching of audio, video and data signals in portable devices like mobile phones, MP3, CD/DVD and video players, digital cameras, PDAs and other handheld devices.
The analog quad switches are available as normally open (AS1751), normally closed (AS1752) and a combination of open and closed (AS1753).
