Axiomtek is looking to make industrial computing brighter, or at least more readable, with its new PANEL2127-810 panel computer, which incorporates a 12 inch flat panel LCD monitor.
Powered by either an Intel Pentium M or Celeron M processor, the 12-inch SVGA LCD panel computer has a display brightness of 400nits, with graphics processing supported by the Intel 855GME chipset and a maximum of 64MB graphic memory.
According to Eric Chiang, Axiomtek panel computer product manager, the unit incorporates a PATA/SATA hard disk, PCI interface for expansion, optional slim CD-ROM/Combo drive, and full range AC or 18~56V DC power-in.
I/O capabilities include four USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232/422/485, two RS-232,
parallel port and 10/100Base-T Ethernet port. He said the company will pre-install supported operating systems, including Wndows' 98, Windows NT/2000/XP, and Windows' XP Embedded.
