Ontario, Canada—Absopulse Electronics’ HBL1000 is a rugged, low-profile AC/DC power supply that's suited for industrial, transportation and other heavy-duty applications requiring a well-regulated high-power source.
The HBL1000 provides a nominal 1 kW at standard outputs of 41 amps at 24 volts, 35 amps at 28 volts, 20 amps at 48 volts, 18 amps at 54 volts, or 8 amps at 125 volts, regulated to ±1 percent (combined line and load regulation). Other features include ripple and noise less than 1 percent of output, and efficiency of at least 80 percent at full load. The supply, which works from a selectable 115 or 230 VAC input (±15 percent), can be configured to deliver up to 1500 watts with power factor correction. It can also be modified to accept a nominal 250 VDC (180–370 VDC) input. An optional redundancy diode allows for parallel connection for higher output power or N+1 operation, suiting the supply to battery charging applications.
The fan cooled supply, rated for operation at full power from 0 to +50°C without derating, can also be adapted for -40 to +65°C environments. Additional ruggedizing and conformal coating are available for applications requiring immunity to shock, vibration, humidity, moisture, airborne contaminants and insects. In addition to including full electronic protection and input/output filtering, the HBL1000 is designed to meet international safety standards including EN55022, EN60950 and related UL and CSA requirements.
